Blog Part 2

“Working on myself, for myself, by myself” -Anonymous Last week I made the commitment to get back to the gym and so far I have done pretty good. I am going to admit I did not go on Tuesday but other than that I have done good. I cannot take all the credit though, my best friend Carmen has been my motivation and my coach. Although she is hundreds of miles away, she has called me everyday to check if I am on track with my plan. On Monday, I began to workout early in the morning before my classes started. On Tuesday, I slept in and honestly forgot about it but then at night I really debated it and just ended up not doing it. Since I was pretty disappointed at myself for not going on Tuesday, I woke up early Wednesday morning and went for a run before my day started. The week has not finished yet but I am trying my very best to persevere on this challenge I have set on myself. I hope to keep on going with this plan. Perseverance

"Perseverance is stubbornness with a purpose" -Josh Shipp Perseverance is a strength that truly makes me the person I am today. Once I set my mind on a goal or on a task, it is my ultimate challenge to push forward and get to the finish line. Most of the people I interact with will describe me as stubborn and persistent in the things that matter to me the most. Once I am challenged to do something I take it into action until I complete it. When I use my strength of perseverance, it brings me a “feeling of inevitability” and I have “invigoration rather than exhaustion” while I go through my journey the challenge.  A goal that I intend to work on is getting back to the gym so that I can get back on the field. I plan to go to the gym no less than 4 times a week in order to build up my strength and get back on track.
